Alarm Clock

Round, bronze-colored, metal and glass manual wind alarm clock with four metal feet. Metal alarm bell on top is the Liberty Bell on a plastic yoke mounted on two plastic upright stanchions that look like metal-bound wood (perhaps meant to resemble the way the Liberty Bell was mounted on a railcar during its 1915 tour). The white face of the clock has printed on it the Declaration of Independence surrounded by the hours and topped with portraits of John Hancock, George Washington, and Thomas Jefferson (a format probably based on the 1819 John Binns facsimile of the Declaration). At the top of the face is printed "1776 1976" for the Bicentennial. On the back of the clock at the base is printed "Serial #A2546. Commemorative Series. Registered Edition. Made in Western Germany."
