This four-armed figure of Durga is seated cross-legged on her vehicle, the lion, which is mounted on a lotus pedestal. The pedestal has a detachable arched flaming prabhavali at the back. The lower right hand is in varada-mudra and the front left in abhaya. In her upper arms she can be seen holding a sword and a shield. There is a flaming halo behind her head. She is decked in ornaments which include a tiara, kundalas, necklaces, keyuras, bracelets, etc. A scarf is draped around her shoulders. The lower garment is secured at the waist by an ornamental girdle. Noteworthy is the third eye on Durga's forehead.
