- Description: The text at hand begins on f.5r, l.3. First part of a compendium from a metaphysical work of ʿAbd al-Jabbār b. Aḥmad (d. 415/1024), entitled المحيط بالتكليف, by al-Ḥasan b. Aḥmad b. Mattawayhi Abū Muḥammad (lived sometime between 415/1024 and 670/1271). The latter is divided into 9 اصل (f.1v, 23, 48, 75, 100, 124, 146, 173, 198 and is composed of many unnumbered chapters. It addresses the nature of God and discusses in the first main chapter التوحيد in five اصل.
