    21.10.1965. WESSEX 60 HANDED OVER TO BRISTOW HELICOPTERS. A Westland WESSEX 60 G-ATBY, was handed over to Bristow Helicopters at Westland Heliport, Battersea today. A member of the Air Holdings Group and an Associate of British United Airways, Bristow Helicopters operate Europe's largest helicopter fleet, totalling more than 60 machines. Since 1952, the Company have built up unrivalled experience in operating support services for offshore drilling in many parts of the world, including the Caribbean, Iran, the Arabian Gulf, Nigeria, the Antarctic and the North Sea. Bristow Helicopters have four Wessex 60's on order, for use on offshore support services in the North Sea, under their many contracts with oil Companies operating in this area. Ten of the eleven Companies which have decided to use helicopters, have awarded contracts to Bristow Helicopters.
