Medal, commemorating the opening of the Aquario Vasco da Gama, Lisbon, Portugal, founded by oceanographer and naturalist King D Carlos I, during the 400th anniversary celebrations held in 1898 of the discovery [1498] of the sea route to India by navigator Vasco da Gama.
