The Jawi Temple is located at Mount Welirang, Southwest to Pandaan alongside the road the leads to Prigen. The Temple was built as the burial ground for King Kartanegara, the last King of the Singhasari Dynasty, who died in 1292. At the top of the temple is a stone figure of Buddha Aksobhya, while at its foot is a stone figure of Shiva Mahadewa. The temple clearly shows that during the era of the Singasari and Majapahit Kingdoms Shivaism and Buddhism had amalgamated and co-existed.
