Film poster for the Hindi film 'Inquilaab' (Revolution), released in the year 1984.

The poster shows the male and female lead of the film along with the four main villainous characters. Against the poular trend of the erstwhile time that was using photographic cut-outs for film posters, this particular poster is hand-painted. In the top half of the poster, there is a bust-length portrait of the character Asha, played by Sridevi towards the left. In the image, she is dressed as a married woman, wearing a sari, a 'mangalsutra' around her neck and 'sindoor' on her forehead, and is holding a revolver with both her hands. Towards the right, there is a bust-length painting of the character A.C.P. Amar Nath, played by Amitabh Bachchan.

In the image, he has a chain around his neck and the expression on his face shows struggle. In between the paintings of Sridevi and Amitabh Bachchan is a logo depicting a Goddess and the words 'SRI ESWARI' , next line; 'PRODUCTIONS', next line; '(BANGALORE)' printed right under it. In the bottom half of the poster, four bust-length portraits depicting the four main villainous characters of the film are painted. From the left, first is Koya Koya Atachi, the smuggler, played by Shakti Kapoor. Next to him is Excise Minister Bhupathi, played by Ranjeet. The third character is the party chairman Shankar Narayan, played by Kader Khan. The last portrait shows the character Sitaram, played by Utpal Dutt. Under the series of portraits
towards the left is 'N. VEERASWAMY', next line; 'PRESENTS'. Towards the bottom, the name of the film is printed, reading 'INQUILAAB' (English). The second 'I' in 'INQUILAAB' has an illustrated hand wound around it and there are flames appearing from its top which overall makes it look like a torch. Under the name of the film, from the left, the credits of the film are printed. First comes 'DIRECTED BY', next line; 'T. RAMA RAO'. Next to this is 'PRODUCED BY', next line; 'N. VEERASWAMY'. This is followed by 'MUSIC',
next line; 'LAXMIKANT PYARELAL'. Next to this is 'LYRICS', next line; 'ANAND BAKSHI'. In the end is 'DIALOGUE', next line; 'KADAR KHAN'.
