Composition in tones earthy, green, gray, blue, mauve, ochre, white and black. Rough texture result of its support of the work. It depicts two peasants and three colonas, all of robust build, near a few feet of smoke. In the foreground, on the left, settler, mulatto, sitting in profile to the right. Have dark hair, defined facial features, wears low-cut blue dress with straps; on the right leg bent with knee up inn where his on the right hand and on the left leg folded down, and is barefoot. On the right part of a foot of carbon sheets with wide and long narrow tip drooping. In the background, on the left of center, farmer, black, standing with his back to the upper body leaning forward, using wide-brimmed hat, light shirt with half sleeve and pants rolled up below the knees. His arms are not fully visible but suggest be down, have legs apart and bare feet. To the right of center, a foot smoke, flowery, in an area in light ochre tone suggesting light to the right, another farmer, mulatto, standing, facing. He's got his head back, arms up, holding a head, suggesting to be drinking water. It has the bare chest and wears clear pants rolled up below the knees. The legs are apart and bare feet. On the third level, on the left, settler, standing 3/4 toward the on the right; wears lilac dress with wide straps skirt, at the ankles, ruffled and is barefoot. Has the on the left arm along the body and on the right up holding a round dark burden that balances on the head. To his on the left is seen over a foot smoke in bloom. In the background, on the right, settler, mulatto, in the same attitude of the last described with the difference that it faces and wears a white dress. On the left, we see part of a building with door. The rest of the background and the ground are represented by quadrangular areas of various shades.
