Chaaki (Hand mill grinder)

A more recently made chaaki with a metal collection plate. It was decorated with oil paint. While the collection tray was entirely painted, the grinding stones were painted only on the top surface where the grains did not come into contact. A red sacred thread was tied to the handle as an auspicious symbol.
