A woman is seen from behind, her hair tangled like the waves of a stormy sea. A tiny caravel is sailing the waves. The hair forms a face, evoking the Cape of Storms, the old name for the Cape of Good Hope. On the woman's back is the phrase "No one is born tormented, life becomes entangled like strands of hair." The background is blue, characteristic of the project in which this work is integrated: "Faces on the Blue Wall."
