Bati ni Siwa. Hook. Consisting of two main components, namely a large size shank and point both carved from kau (wood) and lashed together with plant fibre strips and magimagi (coconut sennit) securely around the site. The kau is round in section, dark brown in colour, and has a slightly glossy patina. The top of the shaft is wrapped with light brown plant fibre and dark brown magimagi and attached to a short line of magimagi cord intended as fishing line. This cord is knotted at one end and frayed.
