Sedre Vonu. A bowl for yaqona (kava) in the form of a vonu (turtle). The Tanoa Vonu is carved from solid kau (wood) with yava i va (four legs) carved on its underside. The tanoa is carved into the shape of a vonu (turtle with a head, a tail, and two front limbs and one back limb carved as features around the rim. A back limb has broken off.) It appears as though one eye has been carved out, with an indentation forming the other. The two front yava (legs) are uneven. Brown in colour.
