'Renature' is a co-production with the New Vision Arts Festival, Hong Kong.
Wayne McGregor was inspired by technology and by the connection between cognition and movement. “We have moved further and further away from nature, but are now at a point where we are again trying to give back what we have taken away, hence 'Renature'. I wanted to translate this relationship between denature and renature to the human body. How do you make a body less naturally, how do you take out the flow, the organization?” - Wayne McGregor
