This work seems to be a copy of several different charts or diagrams associated with the Siamese zodiac, possibly made for a European visitor. The largest is for fortune-telling based on the year of birth. The Chinese 12-year animal cycle is shown in the inner ring. The day of the week is also represented with Thai folk gods, or ‘mascots,’ associated with each day.And the outer ring is associated with animals. The smaller decorated diagrams is associated with the days of the week and features a stylized mountain in the centre. The undecorated diagram is a mariner’s compass, identified as such in English. Each chart is identified in detail in Thai script, its transliteration with english letters, and translation into English.
