FIRST OIL TANKER TO ARRIVE AT KENT REFINERY 31.10.1952. The 28,000 ton oil tanker "BRITISH SKILL" arriving at the Anglo-Iranian Oil Company's Kent Oil Refinery, Isle of Grain, Kent, with the first cargo of crude oil from Kuwait. This marked the first stage of the operation to bring "on stream" to this new £40,000,000 refinery. The picture shows the "BRITISH SKILL" arriving at the jetty to-day. INDUSTRY - FUEL & POWER - OIL.
