Chakki (Hand mill grinder)

This chakki did not have a base but was raised on a section of wooden log. A parat (flat plate with high edges) was used to collect the flour. A chakki is usually operated by women while sitting on a pidhi. They would place a basket or container next to them, in which the grains to be ground are kept.
