The game Parcheesi enjoyed great popularity during the late 19th and early 20th century in America. The firm Selchow & Righter copyrighted the name "Parcheesi" but people everywhere seemed to understand that the game was from India. Other makers generally incorporated "India" in the game title. Milton Bradley's example, "The Game of India" features a dramatic tiger hunt graphic on the box cover, in case there was any doubt about the game's origins.
