Coat and matching dress ensemble
1960s
America
By maker unknown
This matching coat and dress combine silk fabric for the underdress with an all-over cotton thread machine crocheted irregular weave pattern. The sleeveless dress is sheath shaped, a popular silhouette during the 60s, fully lined with a back zip closure. Invisible pockets are built into the side seam on both sides of the dress. The coat has ¾ sleeves and resin/rhinestone buttons and eyes down the front and is also fully lined in a viscose fabric. Cotton yarn is ideal for crochet.
