In and amongst

This mural was inspired by a comic rendering of a city in Gaza in Palestine. It was coincidental that the area it was painted in has a strong Muslim heritage and a lot of the people can relate to the imagery and symbols in the piece. It is a metaphor of the time the artist spent painting in the neighbourhood, trying to be intergrated and not feel isolated from his surroundings.
