National Railway Museum

National Railway Museum
Entroncamento, Portugal

This crane wagon was of English origin and was placed into service with the South and Southeast State Railways. It was used for transhipment of goods by river on the pier of Barreiro.
The production of steam to start the engine was done through a coal burning quick-steaming vertical boiler which allowed speed and agility in its use. It was in operation until the late 1970s.
