Paper pattern for a young boy's sailor suit. One one side engravings of costumes and accessories for women and children, and of men's dress shirt. There is also a set of elaborate initials for white embroidery and a pattern for 'Point Lace', to be made with woven braids (73 engravings in all). Brief descriptions are printed at the bottom of the page.

On the other side, 'Full-size pattern of a sailor suit for A Little Boy six or seven years old'. Printed across this is a listof costume accessories and laces that can be purchased from 'The Young Ladies' Journal'.
