Work in progress at the beginning of June 1966 on the 81cm hydrogen bubble chamber. The chamber, which had been in operation at CERN on loan from the Saclay Laboratory in France since 1961, became the responsibility of CERN from 1 August 1966. Since the chamber arrived it had taken over seven million photographs by August 1966.
