In the Meo community of Mewat region, a patada is used only by the women, to offer Namaz at home. A cloth would be laid on it while sitting on it. It is made with a pointed end, which is oriented towards the direction of Mecca while offering prayers. It is generally gifted to the bride during the wedding.
