Dinka beaded necklace

This is made from old glass trade beads from the European trade with a carved camel bone pendant worn by Dinka men in South Sudan. These necklaces were worn across the chest. They started flooding into the bead markets in the 1980’s when the Dinka men began wearing Western dress .
