A damachiya is a piece of furniture used to store away mattresses and quilts, by making a stack, when not in use. Damachiya were recorded mainly among the rural communities in southern Rajasthan. It is made of a horizontal wooden frame that rests on four trestle legs held together using simple joinery techniques.
