Girolamo Tauro, son of a silk shopkeeper, died in 1625. In his will he left many properties to the Ospedale Maggiore, on the outskirts of Milan (in Vimodrone and Zinasco) and in Milan itself: the Boscaiola farmhouse, the house in Via del Falcone, home of the famous tavern of the same name, a building in Porta Comasina in front of the church of San Simpliciano, some buildings in via Pescheria Vecchia, Borgo della Fontana and Via delle Case Rotte.
