Limestone. Middle Kingdom, Dynasty 11, 2010-1998 B.C. reign of Mentuhotep II. From Thebes, Deir el-Bahri. The richly painted decoration of Mentuhotep's funerary temple at western Thebes showed him offering to and received by the gods.
