A jaali is a larder used for storing cooked or uncooked food. Jaali literally means a perforated surface. This furniture gets its name jaali, because of the perforated meshwork that forms the surfaces. The constant air flow inside the larder enabled through the meshwork keeps the food fresh. This jaali was used to store crockery along with food items.
