McLoughlin's New Game of Red Riding Hood and the Wolf card game is essentially a matching game. The addition of character cards, which are passed from player to player during the game, makes it unique. The final holder of a character card may claim the minor cards matched to it as points. Other manufacturers utilize a teetotum, or a type of spinner, to allow players to match random cards at the end of the game. With its fairy tale theme, this game is aimed at younger children.
