NEW FAMILY
CAR IN PRODUCTION.
A new family car, the Standard Eight, is now in production at the Canley, Coventry factory of the Standard Motor Company Limited. Motorists and experts alike have greeted this new "baby" car with an enthusiasm which has not been accorded to a new car for many years, for this latest model will provide comfort and economy at a price within the means of the average person. The main features of the new Standard Eight are that it is capable of over 60 miles per hour, with a fuel consumption of 45 to 50 miles a gallon at cruising speeds; it will seat four in comfort; has four doors for easy access; ample accomodation for luggage and it's compact overall dimensions make it easy to park in confined spaces and easy to garage. This new model will be on Show to the general public at the forthcoming Motor Show which opens in London on October 21st.
