“[...] Right in the heart of Sikribagh there is a small patch of low land which when filled with water acts like a makeshift pond. Whenever there is standing water a breeding ground for mosquitoes also develops... Therefore I decided to put a mosquito net above the pond, a single mosquito net to catch all the mosquitoes which can bother ‘an individual’, giving them the pleasure which they often get minus the person or the bed! What of course came as an absolute surprise to me was the reflection which the net created on the water and the ripples created by this reflection when a pebble was thrown into it.” – Sheila Makhijani in the Khoj Workshop Catalogue (2001) (2002)
