Hans van Manen about 'Voet bij Stuk': "I felt an extreme urge to make a second jazz dance after I finished ‘Klaar Af!’. In this piece I wanted to play with other emotions and go deeper into the material. The purpose of a jazz dance is that it serves as a capstone, an active bouncer." – Algemeen Handelsblad, May 31,1962

This choreography was broadcasted on television.
