A half-century of popularity for Lincoln Logs construction sets in the United States inspired the American manufacturer to test the market north of the border. In the 1970s,the Playskool toy company licensed Meccano Triang to produce Canadian Logs, like Lincoln Logs in every way except for the name of the toy. Even the illustrations on the Canadian Logs canister is exactly the same as the Lincoln Logs canisters of the same time period. International boundaries, apparently, have little affect on how kids have fun.
