Wooden Eyesight Tester

Eyesight testing equipment, wooden board with handles. It was important for many types of railway workers to have excellent eyesight. Drivers, for example, would need to be able to spot signals while travelling at high speeds. If a driver was no longer able to pass the eyesight test they would be moved to a different (and more junior) position.
