Instead of meshwork, the sides of this jaali had a series of vertical metal rods fixed between the frames. A horizontal wooden member was fixed at the centre to prevent the rest of the members from buckling. It was kept in a corner of the semi-open kitchen and the top surface was used to keep various objects required in the kitchen.
