The Germans

The Germans really are a strange people.

A majority of them elect a criminal as "Führer" and cheer him on, tendency decreasing until the bitter end. The "Führer" had something against "Modern Art", because he needed something else to glorify his person and policies: "Art for the People".

The prohibition of modern art and the corresponding destruction of the artists' livelihoods met with hardly any resistance among the people, because modern art, meaning mainly Expressionism at the time, was understood by only a few.

Which hasn't changed much since then.

Excuse me?

The Germans allowed themselves to be thoroughly reeducated.
Now they don't even dare call crap "crap".
