A gold brocaded burgundy silk skirt, its body embellished with alternating diagonal bands of stylised peacock motifs and figures of female dancers. The skirt is thickly bordered at the bottom with white bands of running floral and peacock motifs and geometrical patterns. The gathered waist has been secured with an embroidered trim in yellow and navy blue, with a later addition of a navy blue waist band section.
