The stereoscopic card depicts The Paris Exposition, 1900 which was known for exhibitions, fairs, pavilions and magnanimous displays. The front side of the card highlights the publisher "Underwood and Underwood" on the left corner and the back of the card contains typography which reads "The Wonderful Exposition - Champ de Mars from Trocadero Tower, Paris, France" and is translated in 5 languages highlighting the expositions' international outreach.

Based in Ottawa, Kansas and stated by the Underwood brothers, Underwood and Underwood publishers were known for producing stereoscopic cards and prints and they later went on to also produce news photography. A similarly dated collection of stereoscopic images can be found in the University of Chicago Library.
