A citation has been presented to the General Electric Company and its employees for being the nation's no. 1 leaders in the sale and retention of United States Saving Bonds. GE President Ralph J. Cordiner, seated, receives the scroll from Earl O. Shreve, left, national director, U.S. Saving Bond Division, U.S. Treasury Department. John D. Lockton, center, GE Treasurer, also heads its Treasury Service Division which has on deposit more than $100 million, at cost price, of U.S. Saving Bonds purchased by GE employee through payroll deductions. Bonds bought by employees under the Employees Saving and Stock Bonus Plan and left on deposit five years brings the owners a 15 percent bonus in GE stock.
