The Gatchina Palace collection includes a number of rare items produced at the Meissen Porcelain Manufactory in the early years of its existence. This coffee-pot comes from the private collection of Empress Alexandra Feodorovna (the wife of Nicholas I). Such works of art were never used for their intended purpose due to their great artistic value. The coffee-pot is demonstrated to visitors during exhibitions dedicated to the porcelain collection of the Gatchina Palace.
