“Miscellanea Sacra...”, is the second edition by the Korns of a collection of works by Theophan Prokopovich, Archbishop of Novgorod and rector of the the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy. It contains the author’s theological writing, including “Apologia fidei”, a polemical treatise defending the doctrines of the Orthodox faith, and “Apologia sacrarum reliquiarum patrum nostrum ... in Cryptis nostris Kiioviensibus ...” – a treatise discussing the inviolability of bodies of saints buried in the Pechersk Lavra crypts. The book includes other works by Prokopovich, too, such as poems, sermons and ascetical teachings, also printed in Polish. Owing to the Korn’s publishing contacts with the academic community in Kyiv, their publishing house in Wroclaw published several editions of Th. Prokopovich’s works and other prints commissioned by the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy.
