Secor draws inspiration from the stories she was told of her family's history in her childhood, and would use conversations between her sisters to create characters when she was young. As she got older, she began to utilize symbolism to create allegories to create more subtle expressions of the mythos she created around her sisters adult conversations and other happenings of everyday life. This piece depicts 2 women, a child, a dog, and a house in the far distance set in a riverside field. The woman to the left seems to be offering help or comfort to the seated woman, while the child reaches for the extended hand of the woman in uniform. The dog is exiting the scene, and has a seemingly suspicious or dissatisfied, human like expression on his face. Taking from the title, this painting is suggested to be an amalgamations of events, combined to create an ambiguous tale.
