Skoklosters, Sweden

A decorative object from the Lenape or the Susquehannock tribe in present-day Delaware. The object is made of a wolf’s cranium covered with dyed and knotted deer hair. The object, together with several other items form the Lenape people, was likely a gift from Governor Johan Printz to Lord Hight Steward Per Brahe in the 1640’s or 50’s.
