Kenwood is a mid-18th century landscape park featuring lakes and woodland. It was further developed in the late 18th century by Humphry Repton, William Marshall and Wiliam Eames.
The photographer John Gay lived near Kenwood and regularly photographed the house and estate. In this view, Gay has captured a man with a pipe holding on to his dog as a flock of sheep is herded past.
