What would a traditional Islamic pattern sound like if interpreted as a rhythm or melody? How would Western contemporary music look if transposed into the visual realm?

'A Hidden Order' is the culmination of several years of collaboration between composer Lee Westwood & geometer Sama Mara, exploring the relationship between music and geometry.

Through the development of a rigorous set of principles whereby sounds are translated into visual patterns and, in turn, imagery is interpreted as music, compositional decisions in both mediums have been guided in order to find a space where the two worlds meet harmoniously.
