A Light Breeze

Dutch17th century?

Dulwich Picture Gallery

Dulwich Picture Gallery
London, United Kingdom

DPG472 is close to the style of Justus de Verwer (c.1626-before 1688), as suggested by F Meijer (oral communication, 1977), but seems too crude to be attributed even to his studio. The picture is said in earlier catalogues to be part of the Bourgeois bequest; it is, however, not identifiable in the 1813 inventory.
