A Lot More than Infinite

In A Lot More than Infinite (Bastante más que infinito), the artist introduces us to the city of New York. Using architectural elements, Lazkano reorganizes the landscape, articulating the representation of an imaginary reality filtered by historical memory and personal experience. As is the case in many of his works, this painting is tinged with an aspiration towards the sublime, towards an idealisation of reality, while toying with the irony typical of post-modernity. The sublimation stems from the absence of human figures: without these, the landscape seems to eternalise in the absence of historical weight.
