A coloured map of the Kingdom of Sweden by one of the greatest German Baroque cartographers, Johann Baptist Homann, printed around 1720. The territory of Sweden, which at the time of the map included Finland, is hand coloured in the colour pink. The terrain is depicted using the so-called hill method. At the top of the map a line representing the Arctic Circle. At the bottom right is the title of the map and the decoration, which shows angels holding the Swedish coat of arms and allegorical figures beside them.
