Although Kuélap (Peru) is mainly built by architecture featuring geometric decorations, symbolic meaning is also expressed by some high reliefs sculpted into the raw Stone. In this example a mythic being, illuminated by the last rays of the sun, appears in the steep hallway of the main entrance to the ceremonial center, indicating the route towards a higher and different space. The multi zoomorphic character integrates the three realms of the Andean cosmovision, represented by the Condor, a Feline and the Serpent, each ambassador of a sacred world.
