A Patola (Popat Kunjar Phool Bhat) odhani

A maroon ground, double tie and dyed, silk woven Ikat odhani, both its ends decorated with fowering plants and bands of geometrical patterns, with an outer plain white band with running plant motifs and a large plain gold border to the end. The body of the odhani is decorated with alternatively spaced large and small diamond patterns: the larger with elephant (kunjar) and parrot (popat) motifs and the smaller with flowering plant (phool) motifs. The length of the odhani is bordered with a band of repeated flowering plants and geometrical patterns, in turn bordered by narrow plain bands of green, orange and white.
